A famous line from the movie Patriot is “Hold-the-Line.” When the loss of life seemed too much to bear and victory impossible, the major (Mel Gibson) was challenged to Hold-the-line.
Hold-the-Line has the origin of a military term used to challenge soldiers to remain steadfast in their position during combat. Other such meanings are: to stand firm; to not permit a breakthrough of the enemy or retreat.
My challenge to you to day is Hold-the-Line. Remain steadfast in your battles.
“To the child of God, there is no such thing as an accident. He travels an appointed way. Accidents may indeed appear to befall him and misfortune stalk his way; but these evils will be so in appearance only and will seem evils only because we cannot read the secret script of God’s hidden providence.” A.W. Tozer
If you find yourself today in a difficult and taxing spot, remember; you are there by God’s appointment, in His keeping, under His training, and for His time. Take COURAGE. There is no better place to be than in God’s intended battlefield.
Hold-the-Line my friend.
And remember…
I’m Listening!
